Only the seventh generation Golf and comparable Audi A3 and Seat Leon were equipped with the 1.4-liter turbocharged Volkswagen CXSA 1.4 TSI engine, which was put together between 2013 and 2014. This power unit is a modified CMBA engine with a different cylinder head.

CWVA, CWVB, CJZA, CJZB, CHPA, CMBA, CXSA, CZCA, CZDA, CZEA, DJKA, DACA, and DADA are all part of the EA211 series.

Disadvantages of the VW CXSA engine
The oil burner is a factor in the great majority of owners’ complaints;
Additionally, the turbine wastegate actuator’s thrust wedge frequently contacts service stations;
A costly plastic pump with two thermostats frequently leaks up to 100,000 kilometers;
A lengthy warm-up and unnecessary knocks and noises are further drawbacks;
Regulations state that the timing belt must be inspected every 60,000 kilometers and replaced every 120,000 kilometers.
