Disadvantages of the B4184S2 engine
Since the valves bend when the timing belt breaks, it is crucial to keep an eye on its condition.
Grease frequently leaks from the phase regulator valve, shortening the belt’s lifespan;
Additionally, when the ribbed belt breaks, the valves bend, which frequently affects timing;
Frequent oil consumption is mostly caused by clogged crankcase ventilation;
The pump and the camshaft position sensor are two more areas where this motor is weak.
