From 2010 to 2011, Ford produced the 2.0-liter Volvo B4204T6 or 2.0 GTDi engine, which was fitted to numerous P3 platform-based models, including the S60, S80, V60, V70, and XC60. With the B4204T7 index, a slightly longer and more potent version of this type of turbo engine was created.

The Ford engine lineup consists of B4164S3, B4164T, B4184S11, and B4204S3.
The engine was mounted on:
- Volvo S60 II (134) in 2010 – 2011;
- Volvo S80 II (124) in 2010 – 2011;
- Volvo V60 I (155) in 2010 – 2011;
- Volvo V70 III (135) in 2010 – 2011;
- Volvo XC60 I (156) in 2010 – 2011.

Disadvantages of the B4204T6 engine
The most well-known engine issue is the detonation-induced piston destruction;
The turbine is frequently rendered inoperable by the exhaust manifold’s cracks;
The system of direct fuel injection quickly gets dirty due to malfunctioning gasoline nozzles;
The phase regulators’ lifespan is reduced to 100,000 kilometers when the incorrect oil is used;
Every 100,000 kilometers, valve adjustment is necessary because there are no hydraulic lifters.
