Engine Kia T8D

From 1995 to 2006, a Korean factory assembled the 1.8-liter gasoline engine Kia T8D, which was fitted to mass models like the American Spectra, Carens, Sephia, and Shuma. This motor is a clone of the Mazda BP power unit, as are its variations T8, TB, TE, and TED.

Disadvantages of the Kia T8D engine

This unit is totally dependable, but only if the quality of service is not compromised;
Up to 50,000 kilometers of hydraulic lifter resources are significantly reduced by cheap oil;
Additionally, inadequate lubrication may cause the oil pump pressure-reducing valve to jam;
An oil burner frequently develops after 200,000 kilometers as a result of ring or cap wear; the throttle is continuously clogged and the engine mounts and cylinder head gasket are not very useful in this situation.
