Engine Geely JLH-4G20TD

The popular Preface sedan, Xingyue S crossover, and numerous Lynk & Co. models are equipped with the 2.0-liter Geely JLH-4G20TD turbo engine, which has been manufactured at the Chinese facility since 2018. In essence, this power unit is an adaptation of the well-known Volvo B4204T19 engine.

Disadvantages of the Geely JLH-4G20TD engine

This engine is susceptible to carbon deposits on the valves, just like all direct injection units; no significant complaints about it were found on specialized forums;
Some owners report leaks in the crankshaft seals and fogging in the crankcase ventilation. It’s crucial to keep an eye on the timing belt’s condition because if it breaks, the valves will bend.
