Engine Peugeot DV5TED4

Since its initial introduction in 2018, the 1.5-liter Peugeot DV5TED4 diesel engine has gradually expanded throughout the French company’s wide range. This rare modification is basically a derated version of the DV5RC engine.

DV5TED4, DV5RC, DV5RD, and DV5RE are additional diesels in the DV5 family.

The engine was mounted on:

  • Citroen C4 Cactus II (F3) in 2019 – 2020;
  • Citroen SpaceTourer I (K0) since 2018;
  • Opel Vivaro C (K0) since 2019;
  • Opel Zafira D (K0) since 2019;
  • Peugeot 2008 I (A94) in 2018 – 2019;
  • Peugeot Traveller I (K0) since 2018;
  • Toyota ProAce 2 (MPY) since 2018.

Disadvantages of the DV5TED4 engine

Since the engine has only recently started to be used, there is currently no information available regarding its dependability.
Fuel quality will undoubtedly be demanded by Common Rail piezo injectors.
The BlueHDi aftertreatment system needs specific maintenance.
Keep an eye on the timing belt’s condition; if it breaks, you’ll have to pay for a costly repair.
