First released in 2017, the Volvo B3154T 1.5-liter 3-cylinder turbo engine was fitted to the XC40 compact crossover in the T3 modification until the B3154T2 took its place. On the Geely Coolray, a comparable unit is positioned under the JLH-3G15TD index.

The B4204T9, B4204T23, and B4204T35 engines are also part of the Drive-E family.

Disadvantages of the B3154T engine
The majority of complaints thus far have been about lubricant consumption; it is also recommended to wash the fuel injectors every 60,000 kilometers or they will fail; the motor was only installed on the European versions of the XC40, and the breakdown statistics are inadequate;
Every 120,000 kilometers, the timing belt is changed, but it’s important to keep in mind that the valves are oppressed here. Additionally, there are occasionally seal leaks or leaks from beneath the valve cover.
