Engine Volvo B5202S

From 1995 to 2000, the company assembled the 2.0-liter 10-valve Volvo B5202S engine, which was installed on the basic modifications of mid-size models like the 850, S70, and V70. This motor’s catalyst-equipped variant had its own index, B5202FS.

Disadvantages of the B5202S engine

There is no electronic choke or phase control in this highly dependable version of the motor.
The most well-known issue is the oil burner’s clogged crankcase ventilation;
The timing belt might not travel the full 120,000 kilometers, and the valves will bend if it breaks;
Here, fuel injectors and ignition system components frequently need maintenance;
The engine’s thermostat, fuel pump, upper support, and pump are also weak points.
