From 1993 to 1996, the company’s plant assembled the 2.0-liter Volvo B5204T turbo engine, which was limited to the 850 index model and the markets of Taiwan, Iceland, and Italy. The B5204FT was a version of this engine that had a catalytic converter.

B4204S, B4204T, B5202S, B5204T, and B5204T8 are members of the 2.0-liter Modular engine family.

Disadvantages of the B5204T engine
This motor has a good resource and is very dependable despite the high forcing.
Most frequently, they complain about the oil burner because of clogged crankcase ventilation on specialized forums.
Turbine shaft wear is the primary cause of oil consumption after 200,000 kilometers.
The valves bend when the timing belt breaks because it doesn’t always serve the required 120,000 kilometers.
The engine’s upper support, pump, and fuel pump are also weak points.
