Disadvantages of the B5204T8 engine
This unit frequently overheats as a result of contamination in the radiators’ dense package;
Oil catcher membrane failure is the second most frequent failure.
Here, the timing belt does not always travel the recommended 120,000 km, and when it breaks, the valves bend; an oil burner frequently results from clogged crankcase ventilation or stuck rings;
Camshaft seals and phase regulator couplings are additional weaknesses.
