Several of the company’s most well-known models, including the Astra, Insignia, and Zafira, were equipped with the 2.0-liter diesel Opel A20DTH or LBS, which was manufactured between 2008 and 2015. In essence, this device is an adaptation of the well-known Fiat Multijet II diesel engine from Italy.

A13DTE, A17DTJ, A17DTR, A20DTH, A22DM, and A22DMH are members of the A family.
The engine was mounted on:
- Opel Astra J (P10) in 2009 – 2015;
- Opel Cascada A (W13) in 2013 – 2015;
- Opel Insignia A (G09) in 2008 – 2014;
- Opel Zafira C (P12) in 2011 – 2014.

Disadvantages of the A20DTH engine
Up until 2013, power units frequently wedged when traveling at a high speed;
The main liners’ lack of oil is the cause of the wedge, but the offenders are different;
Additionally, owners frequently worry about the intake manifold flaps jamming;
The intake channel frequently leaks antifreeze, which puts the engine at serious risk;
A heat exchanger will typically leak by 50,000 kilometers due to the drying of the sealing rings;
The most common cause of engine speed floating is fuel pressure regulator contamination;
This also has common issues with the EGR valve and particulate filter.
