Engine Toyota 2UR-GSE

In 2007, the 5.0-liter Toyota 2UR-GSE engine was released for use in sports Lexus vehicles. This motor is intriguing because it has unique Yamaha cylinder heads, titanium valves, and a combined fuel injection system that combines distributed MPI and direct D4-S.

Disadvantages of the 2UR-GSE engine

Owners have complained about the unit’s moderate oil consumption of up to 0.5 liters per 1000 kilometers; some have already had to decarbonize because of stuck rings; there have been instances of the hydraulic chain tensioner and pump breaking down at low mileage; overall, the unit’s reliability is very good.
