Engine Geely BHE15-EFZ

The redesigned Coolray and regional iterations of the Icon or Atlas 2 are equipped with the 1.5-liter Geely BHE15-EFZ turbo engine, which has been manufactured at a Chinese facility since 2021. This power unit was developed as a component of Aurobay, a joint venture with Volvo.

Disadvantages of the Geely BHE15-EFZ engine

There are no significant complaints, and Chinese owners generally give it high marks;
Carbon deposits on the intake valves are a problem for all direct fuel injection units; the timing chain drive is also very dependable and doesn’t bother you during runs up to 200,000 kilometers;
The price of consumables has gone up a little from its predecessor.
