Only local Legnum models or European Galant modifications were equipped with the 2.5-liter Mitsubishi 6A13 V6 engine, which was manufactured by the Japanese company between 1996 and 2005. There is a lot of use for this power unit.

The engines 6A10, 6A11, 6A12, 6A12TT, and 6A13TT are also part of the 6A1 family.
The engine was mounted on:
- Mitsubishi Galant EA in 1996 – 2003;
- Mitsubishi Diamante F30 in 2002 – 2005.

Disadvantages of the Mitsubishi 6A13 engine
The engine compartment’s extremely compact design makes maintenance challenging;
Here, hydraulic lifters and the idle speed controller typically malfunction;
The timing belt may break after 90,000 kilometers, causing the valves to bend 100%; the heat exchanger is corroded by low-quality or outdated antifreeze, which causes leaks to start;
Watch the oil level because the liners don’t last long when the lubrication pressure decreases.
