Only the Galant VR-4 sports model and its local Legnum modification were equipped with the Mitsubishi 6A13TT 2.5-liter V6 turbo engine, which was built in Japan between 1996 and 2003. This motor is frequently used in low-cost swaps.

The engines 6A10, 6A11, 6A12, 6A12TT, and 6A13 are also part of the 6A1 family.
The engine was mounted on:
- Mitsubishi Galant EA in 1996 – 2003;
- Mitsubishi Legnum EA in 1996 – 2002.

Disadvantages of the 6A13TT engine
Engine maintenance is made much more difficult by the engine compartment’s compact design;
Here, hydraulic lifters and the idle speed controller malfunction more frequently than others;
Timing belt replacement is scheduled every 90,000 kilometers, but it occasionally bursts sooner;
If the pressure relief valve stem is frequently lubricated, turbines have a long lifespan;
A decrease in the system’s oil level causes the liners to wear down more quickly.
