From 2003 to 2010, the 1.6-liter Ford G8DA, G8DB, or 1.6 Duratorq DLD-416 engine was put together and installed on the second generation Focus as well as the C-Max compact MPV, which was built around it. In essence, the power unit is a French DV6TED4 diesel engine variation.

Disadvantages of the G8DA/G8DB engine
Chain stretching and camshaft cam wear plagued the initial engine batches.
Try to change the oil as frequently as you can because this diesel cokes very quickly.
The sealing washers beneath the nozzles burn out as a result of accelerated coking.
Turbine failure is frequently caused by a clogged filter in the oil feed pipe.
Engine hydraulic mounts have a limited resource, and antifreeze leaks are common.
