Engine Ford SEA

Only the first two generations of the Mondeo model with its top modifications had the 2.5-liter Ford SEA or 2.5 Duratec V6 engine, which was manufactured in the USA between 1994 and 1999. The unit, which had a capacity of slightly less than 2.5 liters, took the place of the SEB engine in 1999 in order to comply with the tax.

Disadvantages of the Ford SEA engine

Although the units in this series are extremely dependable, they are too powerful;
Overheating is the primary cause of motor issues, typically as a result of a pump failure;
Here, fuel pump failure ranks second in frequency;
Regular cleaning of the crankcase ventilation is necessary to prevent the engine from sweating oil;
Poor lubrication is a concern for hydraulic lifters and timing chain tensioners.
