Engine Audi BDW

Only the well-liked A6 model had the 2.4-liter Audi BDW 2.4 MPI injection engine installed in the C6 body prior to restyling. The engine was assembled at the factory between 2004 and 2008. The only engine in the line with distributed fuel injection was this one.

Disadvantages of the Audi BDW engine

Seizures in the cylinders are a major source of complaints regarding this unit.
The stretching of the timing chains and the failure of their tensioners are additional issues.
Ignition coils and phase regulators are not the most dependable.
The intake dampers frequently become sour, necessitating the replacement of the entire manifold.
Lubricant consumption frequently manifests after 100,000 kilometers as a result of ring and cap wear.
