Engine Audi BDX

Only two models of the German company were equipped with the 2.8-liter Audi BDX 2.8 FSI engine, which was manufactured at the company’s factories between 2006 and 2010: the A6 in the rear of the C6 and the A8 in the rear of the D3. Under the indices CCDA, CCEA, or CHVA, this power unit has multiple analogues simultaneously.

Disadvantages of the Audi BDX engine

The development of scuffing in the cylinders is the most well-known issue with these engines.
The most common cause of scuffing is a malfunctioning pouring nozzle.
The failure of their tensioners and the stretching of the timing chains come in second.
The resources of ignition coils and phase regulators are comparatively small.
Numerous owners have encountered soot on intake valves or oil burners.
