Engine Cummins 6ISBe

The Cummins 6ISBe engine is a 4-stroke diesel engine with six consecutive cylinders, which is a relatively uncommon design choice for engines in this category. It is thought to be the series’ quietest engine.

The fuel injection pressure is independent of engine speed because of the enhanced Common Rail fuel system. This enhances cold start, lowers noise, and improves ride performance. Additionally, the Cummins 6ISBe uses less diesel fuel than its counterparts because of this system. A turbocharger greatly enhances engine performance and boosts power while using less fuel.

The 6ISBe is comparable to the earlier generation Cummins B-series engines in a number of design and technological aspects. It is intended for Europe, as indicated by the letter “e” in the designation.

The cylinder block’s longevity and comfort during use are impacted by its single cast construction and lack of liners. A VGT turbocharger is installed to improve performance parameters; in addition to its primary purpose, it also helps with fuel economy when running at maximum power.

Error codes Cummins 4ISBe

111: The ECM fails internally. Only if there is an issue with the ECM can this DTC happen. There is no way to fix the ECM.

115: The camshaft position sensor is not working properly. The crankshaft position and camshaft position sensors’ signal inputs are detected as being inverted by the ECM.

122: The turbine pressure sensor is not working properly. When the intake manifold pressure sensor signal voltage exceeds the calibrated value for longer than one second, the ECM detects this.

123: Short circuit or voltage below normal in the intake manifold pressure sensor circuit. The intake manifold pressure sensor signal voltage is less than the calibrated value for longer than one second, according to the ECM.

124: The intake manifold is under high pressure. When the intake manifold pressure is higher than what is permitted for a particular engine power rating, this DTC activates.

131: The gas pedal throttle isn’t working properly. When the accelerator pedal position sensor signal voltage exceeds the calibrated value for longer than one second, the ECM notices it.

132: The pedal or accelerator lever sensor circuit has low voltage. an opening in the accelerator position sensor’s signal, power, or ground circuit in the connectors or wiring harness.

133-High voltage found in the accelerator lever circuit or remote control pedal position sensor Short circuit to either the +5 V power supply circuit or the remote control accelerator position sensor’s signal circuit.

134: The remote control’s pedal or accelerator lever sensor circuit has low voltage. The OEM wiring harness or sensor has the remote control accelerator position sensor signal circuit shorted to either engine ground or ground. The remote accelerator position sensor in the wiring harness or connectors may have an open circuit in the signal circuit wiring, power circuit, or ground circuit.

135: The oil pressure sensor is not working properly. Wait for the oil to warm up if the DTC only shows up in cold weather.

141: An open circuit or low signal voltage was found in the circuit of the oil pressure sensor. When the oil pressure sensor signal voltage is less than 0.25 VDC for longer than 16 seconds, the ECM notices it.

143: Low engine oil pressure. On the left side of the cylinder block is the engine oil pressure sensor.

144: The coolant temperature sensor circuit has an open circuit or a high signal voltage. When the coolant temperature sensor signal voltage exceeds 5.13 VDC for longer than one second, the ECM notices it.

145: A malfunctioning coolant temperature sensor engine coolant temperature sensor that isn’t working properly. The sensor or wiring harness may short the signal circuit to ground.

153-The intake manifold temperature sensor circuit has a high signal voltage. When the intake manifold temperature sensor signal voltage exceeds the calibrated value for longer than one second, the ECM notices it.
