Since 2013, a number of contemporary Honda models, including the Fit, City, Civic, and Accord, have been equipped with the 1.5-liter L15B gasoline engine, which is manufactured in Japanese factories. The turbo with direct injection and atmospheric with injector versions of the unit are available.

Internal combustion engines (L13A, L13B, and L15A) are also part of the L-series.
The engine was mounted on:
- Honda Accord 10 (CV) since 2017;
- Honda City 7 (GN) since 2017;
- Honda Civic 10 (FC) in 2015 – 2021; Civic 11 (FE) since 2021;
- Honda CR-V 5 (RW) since 2016;
- Honda HR-V 2 (RU) since 2013;
- Honda Fit 3 (GP) in 2013 – 2020;
- Honda Freed 2 (GB5) since 2016;
- Honda Jade 1 (FR) in 2013 – 2020;
- Honda Jazz 3 (GK) in 2015 – 2017.

Disadvantages of the Honda L15B engine
These motors are still not widely manufactured, and typical problems have not yet been found;
Nonetheless, the earlier units in this series are flawless and highly dependable;
Many models have a dense engine compartment layout that makes motor maintenance challenging;
Owners frequently lament the scarcity of ignition coils, the lack of hydraulic lifters, and the requirement to modify clearances every 50,000 kilometers on specialized forums.
