From 2016 to 2021, the company assembled and installed the 3.0-liter Hyundai-Kia G6DL or 3.0 GDi engine exclusively on the front-wheel drive sedan Cadenza and the comparable Grandeur. Under the G6DG index, this power unit was essentially a slightly modified version of the engine.

Lambda 3.0L family: G6DE, G6DG, and G6DL.
The engine was mounted on:
- Hyundai Grandeur 6 (IG) in 2016 – 2019;
- Kia Cadenza 2 (YG) in 2018 – 2021.

Disadvantages of the Hyundai G6DL engine
It has carbon deposits on the intake valves, just like all GDi injection engines; the aluminum block is terrified of overheating, so it’s best to keep an eye on the cooling system;
Since the resource of timing chains was not very high in its predecessor, it is still unknown;
The valve clearance will need to be changed on a regular basis because there are no hydraulic lifters here.
