From 2004 to 2010, Land Rover SUVs and several Jaguar models under the AJD index were equipped with the 2.7-liter Land Rover 276DT or Discovery 3 2.7 TDV6 engine. This diesel power unit is referred to as 2.7 HDi on Peugeot-Citroen vehicles.

224DT, 276DT, 306DT, 368DT, and 448DT are jointly developed engines with Ford.

Disadvantages of the Land Rover 276DT engine
The most issues are caused by the Siemens fuel system with piezo injectors;
Subsequently, the crankshaft breaks down and the liners rapidly wear down to the wedge;
Here, lubrication leaks are also common, with heat exchanger leaks occurring particularly frequently;
The thermostat, EGR valve, and front crankshaft oil seal are the engine’s weak points; the timing belt must be replaced every 120,000 kilometers or the valves will bend.
