Engine Mercedes M139

Since 2019, a German plant has been assembling the Mercedes AMG M139’s 2.0-liter turbo engine, which is fitted to AMG models with either a longitudinal or transverse unit arrangement. Electric motors with 14 horsepower and 150 Nm and 204 horsepower and 320 Nm are available in hybrid versions.

Disadvantages of the Mercedes M139 engine

For this amount of boost, this turbo engine is entirely dependable and has no issues;
Even the novel Nanoslide coating is long-lasting, and shedding has not yet been reported;
It is important to note that these units require a high level of maintenance and fuel quality;
A few complaints regarding flown turbine pipes and antifreeze leaks can be found on specialized forums;
The owners also observed that the oil pump had a belt drive.
