Disadvantages of the Mercedes M133 engine
For this boost, this is a very dependable turbo engine with no unique issues; even the Nanoslide coating in place of cast iron sleeves lasts a very long time and does not crumble; however, it is important to keep in mind that such units are very demanding in terms of quality of service; and the direct fuel injection system with piezo injectors does not tolerate low-quality gasoline; on specialized forums, there are complaints about oil leaks, low life of ignition coils, and timing chains.
