Engine Mini B38A15A

Since 2014, the company’s factory has been assembling the 1.5-liter Mini Cooper B38A15A turbo engine, which is installed on all third-generation Mini models, albeit only in basic models. In essence, this three-cylinder engine was a variation of the BMW B38 series vehicles.

Disadvantages of the Mini B38A15A engine

The majority of complaints to date have been about valve deposits and direct injection failures;
The thermal module, which is used in place of a thermostat, is this motor’s weak point;
Both the Vanos phase regulators and the Valvetronic system frequently experience issues; occasionally, axial play of the crankshaft causes the thrust bearing to be destroyed.
