Disadvantages of the Mini N47C16A engine
The most well-known issue is the timing chain, which can run up to 100,000 kilometers; the crankshaft damper pulley frequently needs to be replaced after 100,000 kilometers; antifreeze frequently leaks through the cooling system pipes’ cracked seals;
