Every version of the Minsk Motor Plant’s D-245 diesel engine is a 4-stroke, 4-cylinder engine. They have vertical, in-line cylinder arrangements, direct diesel fuel injection, and compression ignition. Scope: locations with unrestricted air travel. The D-245 can function in ambient temperatures between -45°C and +45°C, but in temperatures below -25°C, the coarse air filter’s body needs to have a heater for the fuel that is supplied.
It started out as a standard tractor engine for tractors (Belarus MTZ-100, -102, -890, 892), vibratory rollers (VG-1201 “Rybinsk plant” Dormash), and other road equipment. Products from the Oryol loader plant, the Tver excavator plant, and the Petrozavodsk Onega tractor plant are installed in power units “D-245.” However, forced versions of this engine have been widely used in buses and medium-duty trucks, beginning with the ZIL-5301 “Bychok.”

Modifications of MMZ D-245 and their differences
The D-245.1 motor, which has a TKR-6 turbine, has been manufactured for ZiL since 1992. The power reaches 107 horsepower here.
The D-245.2 is a tractor version of the D-245, but it has a different injection pump setting and an intercooler. It has a 120 horsepower capacity and has been manufactured since 2000.
D-245.4: D-245 with a TKR 6-01 turbine and no 81-hp intercooler
The D-245.5 is an analogue of the D245.4, but it has 88 horsepower.
Diesel for buses and trucks up to eight tons in weight is D-245.7. The TKR 60-14-3 turbine used in the Euro-1 version produced 122 horsepower at 2400 rpm and 422 Nm of torque at 1500 rpm. For E2, E3, E4, and E5, it was then finalized. The power has been increased to 130 horsepower at 2200 rpm and 422 Nm of torque at 1100-2100 rpm. The turbine TKR 60-14-02 is installed at Euro-2, TKR 60-14 at Euro-3, and TKR 60.01.01-02 is already installed on Euro-4.
An analog of 245.7, D-245.9 has a turbine TKR 60-14-03 (Euro-1), TKR 60-14-01 (Euro-2/3), or TKR 60.01.01-03 (Euro 4) that increases power to 136 horsepower at 2400 rpm and torque to 446 Nm at 1600 rpm. The engine was designed to power buses and trucks up to 12 tons in weight.
Bychka’s D-245.10 engine produces 107 horsepower.
D-245.11: 107 horsepower at 2400 rpm and 355 Nm of torque at 1500 rpm.
D-245.12 is a car engine with a TKR-6 turbine (for Euro-1, TKR 7N2A) and 109 horsepower without an intercooler.
The tractor version, D-245.16, produces 127 horsepower at 1800 rpm and 567 Nm at 1500 rpm. For the Onega Tractor Plant, an internal combustion engine was created.
D-245.20: ZIL version with 107 horsepower
An analog of D245.7, D-245.30 has a TKR 60.01.01-01 (60.01.01-05) turbine that produces 156 horsepower at 2400 rpm and 515 Nm of torque at 1600 rpm. This modification is intended for vehicles that weigh between 12 and 18 tons.
The D-245.35 version is intended for cars up to 13, 18, and 21 tons in weight. 170 horsepower at 2400 rpm and 595 Nm of torque at 1500 rpm. The TKR-60.01.01 turbine used in Euro-4 versions has been upgraded to produce 177 horsepower at 2300 rpm and 650 Nm of torque at 1200–1600 rpm.
The tractor diesel engine D-245.42 produces 75 horsepower at 1800 rpm and 365 Nm of torque at 1400 rpm.
Another tractor model, the D-245.43, has 84 horsepower at 1800 rpm and 411 Nm of torque at 1400 rpm.
