Engine Nissan KA24DE

The Z24 series was superseded by the KA24 gasoline power units in 1988. Since their production was stopped in 1991 due to modernization, purchasing the original KA24E internal combustion engine modifications is already problematic. The 2.4-liter Nissan KA24DE engine, which was manufactured from 1993 to 2008 and is most recognized for its use in Altima sedans, Presage minivans, Navara pickups, and X-terra SUVs, is now more well-known. This power unit stood out for its high fuel consumption and good dependability.

Numerous cars and trucks were made using the Nissan KA24DE. The majority of the units were manufactured in Aguascalientes, Mexico. The engines designated U13 Bluebird, 240SX, 1994-97 Altima, and FWD are the exceptions; they were assembled in Japan specifically for cars made in Australia.

The engine’s dependability is at its peak; the owners are only irritated by its excessive fuel consumption.
Although the timing chain’s tensioner may fail even sooner, it typically lasts up to 300,000 kilometers.
An overly soft engine sump frequently clogs the oil receiver because it fears impacts.
Oils of questionable quality are categorically rejected by this engine.
The valves need to be adjusted on a regular basis because there are no hydraulic lifters here.
