Known for the Caravan minibus and D22 pickups, the 3.2-liter Nissan QD32 diesel engine was manufactured from 1995 to 2007 and installed on commercial vehicles. The motor was available in five different versions: QD321, QD322, QD323, QD324, and QD325.

Internal combustion engines (QD32ETi) are also part of the QD series.
The engine was mounted on:
- Nissan Caravan E24 in 1996 – 2001;
- Nissan Navara 2 (D22) in 1997 – 2002.

Disadvantages of the QD32 engine
Although the timing gear drive’s noise and vibration are bothersome, the motor is incredibly dependable;
Floating idle is the most frequent issue with this diesel, followed by sensor failures, which are typically caused by wiring damage.
This unit experiences traction failures in cold weather, just like a lot of older diesel units.
