From 2009 to 2011, the company’s Polish plant produced the 1.7-liter diesel Opel A17DTJ or LPV engine, which was fitted to several mass models, including the Astra and Zafira. This unit was manufactured in EURO 4 modifications between 2007 and 2009 using a different index, Z17DTJ.

A13DTE, A17DTJ, A17DTR, A20DTH, A22DM, and A22DMH are members of the A family.
The engine was mounted on:
- Opel Astra H (A04) in 2009 – 2010;

Disadvantages of the A17DTJ engine
The motor’s condition is rapidly impacted by the use of subpar antifreeze;
The majority of injector sleeve leak complaints are caused by corroded rubber seals;
The engine heat exchanger gasket contracts and starts to leak for the same reason;
The turbine typically operates a bit longer, but the timing belt resource is roughly 150,000 km;
sufficient issues with the EGR valve, particulate filter, or Denso fuel equipment.
