From 1994 to 2001, the 3.0-liter Opel X30XE or Ecotec L81 engine was manufactured in England and fitted to well-known concern models like the Omega, Sintra, and Cadillac Catera. With the X30XEI index, there was an even more potent and extremely uncommon version of this device.

The X20SE, X20XEV, X22SE, X22XE, and X25XE engines are also part of the X20 series.
The engine was mounted on:
- Opel Omega B (V94) in 1994 – 2001;
- Opel Sintra A (APV) in 1996 – 1999;
- Cadillac Catera 1 in 1996 – 2001.

Disadvantages of the X30XE engine
This motor has trouble starting at low temperatures and dislikes frost;
Here, lubricant continuously seeps into the candle wells from beneath the valve cover; the oil cooler frequently leaks, allowing lubricant to enter the cooling system;
Any damage to the sump will obstruct it because of the oil receiver’s low position;
Keep an eye on the timing belt’s condition; it has a 60,000 km lifespan and bends the valves when it breaks.
