Disadvantages of the XU10J4R engine
Hydraulic lifters are the first to suffer because the engine cannot withstand cheap oil;
The idle speed controller is frequently the cause of floating engine speeds;
Spark plugs and ignition coils are rapidly destroyed by bad fuel;
Frequently, the timing belt breaks well before the recommended 120,000 kilometers of run;
Owners frequently complain about small oil burners and oil seals leaking grease;
The plastic intake manifold’s persistent cracking is the flaw;
The engine operates erratically and the crankcase ventilation freezes when there is a lot of frost.
