From 2004 to 2010, the Saab D207E, also known as the 1.9 TiD, was a 1.9-liter diesel engine that was installed on the most basic 9-3 models and typically came with a manual gearbox. The Fiat company developed this eight-valve unit, which is identical to the Opel Z19DT engine.

D207E, D207L, D207R, D223L, and D308L are Saab diesel engines.

Disadvantages of the Saab D207E engine
The swirl dampers that cause issues for engines in this series are absent from this dependable diesel engine;
The only clogged part of the Bosch fuel system is the metering valve.
Nozzles frequently start to pour during extended runs, but they are easily fixed;
The exhaust manifold occasionally cracks or deforms around the fourth cylinder, but the turbine lasts a long time because only the geometry of the blades changes coke and wedge.
