Engine Subaru EZ36

Since 2008, the Gunma Oizumi Plant has been producing the 3.6-liter Subaru EZ36D engine, also known as EZ36, which powers the company’s most well-known models, including the Tribeca, Legacy, and Outback. He was given a reinforced cylinder block with 1.5 mm thick cast-iron liners inside. New cylinder heads with dual AVCS variable valve timing systems on the intake and exhaust camshafts covered the block.

Disadvantages of the EZ36 engine

High fuel consumption and frequent oil leaks are the network’s most frequent complaints; overheating brought on by another cooling system issue comes in second;
This is where the tensioner fails due to cheap oil, and the timing chain begins to make noise;
Additionally, the fuel pump’s pressure regulator has low reliability;
Oil consumption for waste is frequently already present on runs longer than 150–200 thousand kilometers.
