Since 2015, popular low-cost models like the Rapid or Polo Sedan have been equipped with the 1.6-liter 16-valve Volkswagen CWVB 1.6 MPI 90 hp engine. Only the firmware of this motor has the CWVA index, which sets it apart from its 110-horsepower equivalent.

CWVA, CWVB, CJZA, CJZB, CHPA, CMBA, CXSA, CZCA, CZDA, CZEA, DJKA, DACA, and DADA are all part of the EA211 series.

Disadvantages of the VW CWVB engine
Owners of cars with this engine typically complain about excessive lubricant consumption;
Due to the lack of an oil level sensor, these motors frequently wedge;
Lubricant gets on the timing belt when the camshaft oil seals are routinely squeezed out;
The plastic pump with two thermostats has a short lifespan and is costly to replace;
The exhaust system’s design makes the engine susceptible to vibrations during the winter.
