Produced between 2006 and 2015, the 2.0-liter 8-volt Volkswagen BSX or 2.0 EcoFuel engine was limited to gas modifications of the first Touran or the third generation Caddy. In essence, this power unit was a factory adaptation of the well-known AQY methane engine.

APK, AQY, AXA, AZJ, AZM, ALT, and BSX are all part of the EA113-2.0 series.

Disadvantages of the VW BSX engine
During the initial years, there was a campaign to replace the gas reducer in the engines.
A fresh effort to replace faulty cylinders was launched just a year later.
The engine is well-known for its excessive oil consumption in addition to issues with gas equipment.
It is important to take note of the ignition system issues; coils and wiring are frequently changed.
