Engine Audi ASE

The 4.0-liter diesel Audi ASE or A8 4.0 TDI engine was manufactured between 2003 and 2005, and prior to its initial redesign, it was exclusively fitted on our well-liked A8 sedan. This V8 diesel quickly gave way to 4.2 TDI engines due to its poor timing design.

Disadvantages of the Audi ASE engine

Weak timing chain tensioners on this motor frequently caused a jump;
Additionally, the intake manifold flaps frequently fell into the cylinders after falling off;
Fuel system malfunctions are typically the cause of the remaining severe engine issues;
Turbines and hydraulic lifters have a much shorter lifespan when oil is saved. Make sure the glow plugs are in good condition or they will break easily when unscrewed.
