Engine Peugeot DV4TD

Produced between 2001 and 2009, the Peugeot DV4TD or 1.4 HDi 1.4-liter diesel engine had a common rail fuel system from Bosch and Siemens. There is an 8HT version with 54 horsepower in addition to the standard 8HX and 8HZ models with 68 horsepower.

Disadvantages of the DV4TD engine

Owners’ primary issues are related to Common Rail system malfunctions; in the Siemens fuel system, the high-pressure fuel pump’s PCV-VCV control valves malfunction; Bosch fuel equipment is more dependable; the dosing unit is the only component that frequently fails here;
The crankshaft damper pulley and the crankcase ventilation membrane are two of the engine’s weak points. The turbine is distinguished by a small resource, and even when the timing belt breaks, the valves bend.
