Disadvantages of the TU5JP4 engine
Electrical issues are typically a concern for a dependable unit as a whole.
Abrupt engine twitching or tripping is a common occurrence. The ignition system’s weakest component is the coil.
Floating engine idle speeds are a common source of complaints from owners. Cleaning the idle speed control and throttle body should be done on a regular basis.
The valves bend when the timing belt drive malfunctions because it is not very dependable. Pay close attention to the replacement schedule and the belt’s condition.
Hydraulic lifters frequently make a loud clattering sound beneath the hood. Use only the manufacturer’s recommended engine oil.
