Engine Peugeot EP6FDTR

From 2015 to 2018, 308 1.6 THP 270 GTi hatchbacks were equipped with the 1.6-liter Peugeot EP6FDTR or 5GP engine, which was manufactured in France and came with a 6-speed manual BVM6 transmission. This motor was given a new index, EP6FADTR, following the switch to stricter environmental regulations Euro 6d.

Disadvantages of the EP6FDTR engine

The coking of the intake and oil lines as a result of overheating is the primary issue here.
Additionally, the turbine will fail due to oil starvation if you miss this opportunity.
The timing chain does not have a lot of resources either; occasionally, it is replaced up to 100,000 kilometers.
The thermostat, water pump, and injection pump are the power unit’s weak points.
