The quality of the oil and how often it needs to be replaced are very important to this power unit.
The most well-known issue is retainer destruction, which kills the motor.
The timing chain tensioner frequently needs to be changed after 100–150 thousand kilometers.
An oil burn typically starts at the same mileage because of ring or cap wear.
