From 1993 to 2002, the company’s Japanese plant assembled the 2.0-liter Honda F20B engine, which was then fitted to various versions of the well-liked fourth and fifth generation Accord models. The F20B power unit was manufactured with and without the VTEC system, as well as in SOHC and DOHC versions.
The internal combustion engines F18B, F20A, F20C, F22B, and F23A are also part of the F-series.
The engine was mounted on:
- Honda Accord 5 (CD) in 1993 – 1997;
- Honda Accord 6 (CG) in 1997 – 2002.

Disadvantages of the Honda F20B engine
Owners of cars with this engine typically complain about how much oil they use.
Regular coolant or lubricant leaks come in second.
Contamination of the idle or EGR valve is the cause of tripping and floating revolutions.
Electrical malfunctions are the cause of the inhibited response to the gas pedal.
Every 40,000 kilometers, the valves must be adjusted because there are no hydraulic lifters.
