Since 2006, the Japanese company has assembled the 2.0-liter Honda R20A gasoline engine, which is fitted to several of the company’s well-known models, including the Civic, Accord, and CR-V crossover. There are a few variations of this unit that are not very different from one another.
An oversized R18A is all that this two-liter unit is. A long-stroke crankshaft allowed the volume to be increased from 1.8 liters to 2.0. Disadvantages of the Honda R20A engine
This engine has high requirements for fuel and oil quality;
Bad gasoline causes the lambda probes to burn out and the catalyst to rapidly collapse;
Strong knocks from the adsorber valve’s operation irritate a lot of Honda owners;
Engine mounts and drive belt tensioners are comparatively small resources; valve clearances must be periodically adjusted because there are no hydraulic lifters.
