Engine Ford REBA

Only the most costly and potent Mondeo models – aside from the sports ST220 – were equipped with the 3.0-liter Ford REBA or 3.0 Duratec V6 SE engine, which was built in the USA between 2004 and 2007. This unit shares many structural similarities with the Jaguar AJ30 and Mazda AJ-DE engines.

Disadvantages of the REBA engine

Bad fuel is intolerable to the engine, and coils and candles break easily;
An expensive fuel pump may then malfunction as a result of a clogged filter in the tank;
Overheating and breaking through the cylinder head gasket are frequently caused by an unreliable pump;
Crankcase ventilation clogging is the most common cause of oil fogging;
Hydraulic chain tensioners and hydraulic compensators rely on lubricant quality.
