Among the most potent heavy YaMZ diesel engines in the product line are the YaMZ-850 engines produced by the Yaroslavl Motor Plant. These motors are classified as turbocharged models and meet both Euro-0 and Euro-1 environmental standards. These power units are made for stationary power units and tractors.
These diesel engines are 12-cylinder V-type, 4-stroke, turbocharged, liquid-cooled, direct injection, and charge air-cooled. Bulldozers and industrial tractors are intended to use heavy industrial engines.

The YaMZ-850 engines, which are designed for use in industrial tractors, bulldozers, and pipe layers, were created based on the YaMZ-8401 family. For use in stationary installations, a number of modifications have been made to the YaMZ-850.10 tractor diesel engine. Pumps and compressors are therefore powered by the diesel unit YaMZ-8502.10, high-power diesel power plants (diesel generators) by YaMZ-8503.10, and drilling equipment by YaMZ-E8504.10. The diesel model’s use of the letter E signifies that it is an experimental engine rather than one that is produced in large quantities. The 850.10 engine can be installed on mining dump trucks up to 95 tons in total weight.
