The YaMZ-651 is a six-cylinder, four-stroke diesel engine that has an in-line cylinder arrangement, a liquid cooling system, turbocharging, and charge air cooling in an air-to-air heat exchanger mounted on a car (without an EGR system).

According to UN Regulation No. 49-05C (level B1 with EOBD system), No. 24-03-euro-4, it corresponds to environmental class 4 for road machinery in terms of harmful substance emissions.

The vehicle’s SCR system and the PM-CAT catalytic converter were used to reach the ecological level of euro-5. R. Bosch’s battery-type fuel system (ECRS).
