Disadvantages of the ED4 engine
This power unit is very dependable and trouble-free for a turbo engine;
A thermostat unit and an unreliable electronic throttle are among its flaws.
Additionally, a small resource here distinguishes the crankshaft pulley damper and fuel pump;
By 200,000 kilometers, the timing chain is frequently stretched or oil consumption starts to show; hydraulic compensators are absent, and the valves require periodic adjustment.
