Engine Fiat 169A4000

Since 2007, the 1.2-liter 8-valve Fiat 169A4000 engine has been assembled at the Italian plant and fitted to the company’s well-known models, including the Panda, Punto, 500, and Lancia Ypsilon. This power unit, also known as the Duratec 8V or index FP4, was installed on the second generation Ford Ka.

Disadvantages of the Fiat 169A4000 engine

The engine’s primary issue is the quick development of rings and the ensuing oil burn;
The crankshaft pulley key on early engines was frequently cut off and slipped; even now, contamination of the throttle and fuel pump grid causes revolutions to float;
The starter, thermostat, and pillows in this engine are a small resource;
