Since 2020, the company’s rear-wheel drive models, such as the Kia Stinger and Genesis crossovers, have been equipped with the 2.5-liter Hyundai G4KR or Smartstream 2.5 FR T-GDi engine. The presence of a combined injection system GDi + MPi sets this motor apart from its equivalents.

Disadvantages of the Hyundai G4KR engine

Here, the issue of valve coking is resolved by the combined injection;
Although the timing chains’ resource is unknown, they are typically swiftly removed from a turbo engine;
It turned out that the engine was extremely hot, so you will need to keep an eye on the cooling system;
